OVERNIGHTER Heated Mat

Lay it on whatever you sleep on (a roll mat, air bed, camp bed, bedchair or the mattress in the van), put your own sleeping bag on top and plug it into a USB power bank. Press the button to switch it on, then press again to change the heat level. The ring around the button shows the level: blue, green or pink.

No, that’s the point. It goes underneath the sleeping bag or duvet you already use, and your bag keeps the heat in around you.

It’s 160 × 80 cm. On a standard camp bed, bedchair or single air bed (around 190–200 cm long) it covers you from the shoulders to the knees, and your feet sit in the foot of your bag.

Anything with a USB-A socket: a power bank (5V/2A or more), the USB socket in a car or van, a laptop, or a USB plug on a campsite hook-up. No mains or generator needed.

It draws about 10–12 W on the highest level. Expect around 5 hours on high from a 20,000 mAh power bank, and longer on the lower levels. A 10,000 mAh bank gives roughly half that. Runtime varies with the power bank and the cold.

It’s a steady, gentle warmth under you, not a hot plate. It takes a few minutes to warm up, so switch it on while you set up and the bed’s warm when you get in. Start on the middle level and go up if you need it.

It runs on 5V USB power, the same as charging a phone, and switches itself off automatically. Keep it flat while it’s on, not folded or bunched up.

No. It’s a soft felt mat, so keep it dry: lay it on your mat or bed rather than straight on the groundsheet, and roll it up dry when you pack away.

Not by default, so you can use your own. Tick the battery pack when you order and we add a 20,000 mAh power bank. If you use your own, it needs a 5V/2A USB output. The bigger the power bank, the longer the heat lasts.
